Shoemaker Funeral Home was originally Hunter Funeral Home prior to 1951. Richard K. and Dorothy J. Shoemaker purchased the funeral home in 1951.

Shoemaker Funeral Home is a family owned and operated 2nd generation funeral home with 28 years of serving families in the monument industry.

In 1953, at the age of 31, Richard K. passed away. From 1953 to 1973, Dorothy J. ran the funeral home under a widows license. In 1973 Richard L. and Willa E. took over the ownership of the funeral home until the present.In September 2002, Richard K. Shoemaker II became a licensed funeral director and is now an integral part of our corporation.
